If you’re a local business, supplier, skilled tradesperson, or jobseeker, this event is your chance to meet our team, ask questions, and explore how your business or skills can contribute to and benefit from a transformative energy project.
The Fort Augustus substation is a critical node in SSEN Transmission’s Pathway to 2030 programme, and we'll be based in the area for several years as we work to strengthen the electricity network in the Highlands and support Scotland's transition to net zero.
Connect with our procurement, project and recruitment leaders to discover contract opportunities, supply frameworks, partnerships and job requirements. This drop-in event is also an opportunity to understand how we'll work with local schools, colleges and service providers to build connections that ensure long-term economic benefits for the region.
Our 'Meet the Buyer' event runs from 12pm to 7pm, and attendees are welcome to drop in at any time. Local businesses, service providers, subcontractors, jobseekers and education/training organisations are encouraged to come along, and refreshments will be provided.
We have a unique culture, with a strong focus on people, values and wellbeing. We work closely with local communities to deliver real value for the lifespan of our projects.
The Fort Augustus substation will link major schemes like Coire Glas, Skye reinforcement, and the Beauly–Denny upgrade. As the lead contractor, Omexom is committed to delivering local value.
